The most emotionally intense color, and the hottest of "warm colors", red stimulates faster heartbeat and breathing, enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. Red equals power - so we have red "power" ties, and the "red carpet."

Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions; it is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites. In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc). Red is often used in restaurants for a reason - it increases your appetite by increasing the body's metabolism.

Use red when you want to grab your customers' attention or when you don't want your message to sink into the background. Use red to suggest speed combined with confidence and maybe a hint of danger and daring. Just a touch of red goes a long way; small doses can often be more effective than large amounts because of the strength of red. In China, red is the color of good luck and is used as a holiday and wedding color.; brides wear red. Chinese babies are given their names at a red-egg ceremony and doors are often painted red for good luck.

Light red represents joy, sexuality, passion, sensitivity, and love.

Pink signifies romance, love, and friendship. It easily reminds clients of feminine qualities.
